Busy as a Bee

Hello!

It's hard to believe it's been a month since I've posted on here! Our lives have become so busy now that we're finally starting to settle in up here. All of our stuff is slowly but surely getting put away, and it really feels like home here. I am settling into my job, getting more and more responsibility, and meeting everyone at work. I love my job--in face, I love it here! Here's why. In the past two or three months, I have meant people from so many different countries and cultural backgrounds. I've learned about so many different backgrounds. I've eaten so many different ethnic foods. This is exposure that I would not get anywhere else in the world. Everyone that works at our company is so nice and helpful to each other. I really feel accepted. The one thing I sort of regret is that we have responsibilities at home, and I feel like we haven't had as much time as I would like to explore the area. There are so many different things to do here! I don't know how long we're going to be here, and I want to experience as much as I can in the time we do have. I just hope that we get some visitors! It's a great place, unlike anywhere I've ever been. I feel like many of our friends and family think it's too far to travel. Yes, it can be a haul, but it's SO WORTH IT! Coming here would be an experience you'll never forget. Here are some pictures from the past few weeks. My parents came up to visit and we took them to the CN Tower and exploring downtown. We were on a platform on the tower that's 1100 feet or so in the air. You can see the whole city and beyond from up there! The best part was the glass floor--you can look straight down to the ground! It was awesome!

Me, laying on the glass floor of the CN TowerFor those of you who don't know, I have a statue fetish.....

I got to dress up as a wizard for work on Halloween!

I have more pics to share, but I'm going to save them for the next post. Gary is off hunting this week, so I hope that my next post will include news of a big deer that we will be having made into jerky!!!
